The next quilt is finished!

My lovely cousin Emilia is 17 this weekend. SEVENTEEN! I don't know how when or why that happened!

This quilt was meant to be for her sixteenth, but it's not. It's for her seventeenth.

I kind of didn't want to give this away. I love the colours, and some of the fabrics are very special to me. There's some of the batiks from the boy quilt, some kaffe fasset, some of my Indian fabrics from my backpacking trip in 2007 and the Chinese fabric I built the whole selection around.

Embroidery isn't bad considering I did it on a bus!

I love sewing on a bus. It's amazing how hard British people can NOT look at you when you are doing something unusual.

Some of the stitching is a bit wonky, but I hope she will love it all the same.
