Making a boy quilt

 

For my nephew's eighth birthday, I pledged him a special sewing day to design his own quilt.

 

We went through my entire stash and I said he could choose anything *gulp*

 

He chose the beautiful blue, green, brown and orange batiks I had bought in Tai O in Hong Kong a couple of years ago. We added some Indonesian batiks bought in Cambodia, and I dug out the blue silk cotton mix from India.

 

He said they were the most special because they aren't just from a shop in England. I quite agree.

 

And there isn't anyone I'd rather share them with!
